Lego Club Tuesdays: March 3, 10, 17, 24 3:30 p.m. Ages 5+ Build Lego creations! Edible Book Festival Saturday, April 4 11 a.m. All ages Bake or make an entirely edible “book” creation and bring it to the library by 11 a.m. The creations will be judged in Funniest, Most Realistic, and Most Book-Like categories. Celebrating Spring Poetry Monday, April 6 3:30 p.m. All ages Registration Required Join us for an afternoon surrounded by the soothing, but sometimes blustery, world of spring poetry. Renowned local poet Grace Butcher will give some excellent writing tips and read some of her terrific poetry. We’ll do some group writing as well as explore the form of Japanese Haiku. Biodiversity Bonanza with Lake Metroparks Saturday, April 11 11 a.m. All ages Registration Required Meet several permanent resident animals from the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center and Farmpark. Learn how wild and domestic animals fit into our planet’s ecosystem. All about Thingiverse 3-D Print Class Mondays: April 13, 20, 27 3:30 p.m. Grades 4 - 9 Registration Required Register for one of three classes and learn how to search for pre-designed 3-D print items on thingiverse. Find and download an item to print. Students will learn search techniques, skills in reading data, downloading, and more. Balloon Twisting Workshop Saturday, February 8 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Grades 2 - 5 Registration Required Join us as Bubbles-N-Swirls teaches us how to make balloon animals and more. Bodyworks with the Cleveland Museum of Natural History Wednesday, February 5 3:30 p.m. Grades 3 - 6 Registration Required What does a real heart look like, and how does it team up with our brain, muscles, bones, and lungs? This program uses preserved specimens and anatomical models to teach students about the organization of the human body. Mini-Golf Saturday, February 22 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. All ages Come enjoy a fun round or two of mini golf in the library. Holes will be set up throughout the library, and prizes will be awarded for finishing a round. Meditation & Sound Healing for Kids Thursday, March 5 3 p.m. Ages 9 - 12 Registration Required Join Lori Shrock, a certified Meditation instructor, as she leads kids through basic meditation techniques and introduces them to sound healing with Tibetan singing bowls.
